Riverhill Monument Company is a proud member of Monument Builders of North America (MBNA) and Monument Builders of the Carolinas (MBOC). All of our members are pledged to a creed which best serves our clients. We prefer to sell and service monuments within a 50 – 75 mile radius of our location in the Foothills of Western North Carolina. Our company is always happy to give referrals to those seeking our advice. We can make referrals to our fellow association members, whose good reputations we know and recognize.

Unfortunately, some internet-based companies have led clients to believe they can save money by ordering memorials online. Some of these have even tried to disparage clients from trusting their local memorialists. Please remember that this is a fine art and it requires the talents of trained, experienced artists. These local craftsmen have a skill that has been honed through talent and experience. Many memorialists have inherited their skills through generations of experience.

See the product - When our clients buy locally, they get to actually see and touch the products. Different stones have different qualities and textures that are not always obvious in a picture. Local clients have more confidence in their purchase, because they know what they are buying before they purchase.

Better service – When a memorial is ordered online, it still has to be placed. This is perhaps the most deceptive part of online, supposedly “lower price” products. What happens when a memorial is purchased on the Internet? It is shipped to a local monument company for placement at the gravesite. The client is then faced with a fee for placement that was never explained or expected. When a client purchases their monument from their local company, the fee is included or explained at the time of the sale. Also, if weather or vandals cause any damage, your local monument company is available for service. The Internet company will not be able to help with maintenance or service.

See the Seller - Your local memorialist is a member of your community. They have a local business reputation to uphold and a standard to maintain as a member of their professional associations. Families are often in need of a person they can trust at times when they choose their memorials. A local member of your community is more likely to be sensitive to your personal needs. It is a real person that you can trust to know your specific needs and your local standards.

Remember, a Memorial is a Unique Work of Art Built Specifically for You.
